Are sample motors available for purchase anywhere?

Postby Russell » Thu Nov 12, 2009 1:56 am

I don't want a kit, all I want is the motor and one which does NOT freewheel. Does anyone have one available?

Also are there retrofit non-freewheeling gear assemblies available for the original freewheeling motors?

I'm not sure when the new motors will be available. From what I understand the new motor was set to be released in October including upgrades and improvements to the overall kit. I would imagine the guys at Fusin have been real busy. I'm with you though I'd like to retrofit my motor also...

Hi Russel,

sorry for so late response, we have been busy with motor updation and production for other orders, not take after this forum so long....

Yes there are retrofit non-freewheeling gear assemblies which could be used to convert original freewheeling motor, but before you do this you need to make clear the max charing current level allowed in your li-iron battery BMS, which should be bigger than 11A. If you use lead acid battery then convert without any problem. Otherwise when rege works the charing current will exced the max data allowed by BMS, which will result in battery cut off by BMS for several minutes.
