Battery Questions??

Postby Crash Machine » Fri Jul 17, 2009 10:38 am

So I've had the kit for a while and have been overall impressed with the battery performance. But it's time to expand my range. I'm already using my small trailer to go to the grocery store and such. I figure with another battery I can virtually replace my car for small errands. It seems Worldwide has been short on supply of spare batteries. I would like to order a battery from them. Do you offer a 48v 20 amp hour battery? If so can I raise the amp hours without harm to the kit?

Worldwide Electric Bikes does have spare 36v/10ah battery but no extra 48v/10ah battery, each 48v kit with only one 48v/10ah battery. You could contact Steve to see if he is willing to sell you an extra 48v/10ah battery.

We do have 48v/20ah, 30ah and 40ah battery, it is same as 48v/10ah battery with steel box, a 48v/20ah battery will weigh about 13.5kgs. The battery 48v/20ah costs USD768 with a 4A charger & UPS international express cost included.

For cost reason you could also ask Steve to include this battery pack with their next order, to save cost on the UPS express.More than 100 dollars could be saved.

By our 48v kit the controller could handle maximumly current "22A", current above this limit will be cut off by the controller automatically to protect the system. You are free to use 48v battery with higher capacity, but please donot use any battery above 48v, that will kill the system.

there are also 48v/30ah, 40ah battery packs, but for a ebike battery the 20ah will be enough. 30ah or 40ah battery are normally used for electric scooters.

I have an e-bike with a lithium battery. My bike fell on the ground and the battery key was bent in the key slot. Luckily I had another key. The key insert part is broken. Can I get another insert for the battery ? Also, what type of fuse does the lithium battery hold? The bike will come on when the charger plug is placed in the battery. When I remove the charge plug I can not get any current from the battery. The green indictor light comes on when the battery is charged. What can I do? Please respond. Thanks, King

Hi friend welcome to our forum. Sorry for this late response as we are very busy with produciton these 2 months....

As of your question the best solution is to send back the problem to the dealer, donot try to solve it by yourselves, to repair the problem you have to find professional people.

Thanks.
