I open this new topic to better focus on the regen brake of your kit. What is the test result of the regen brake on your geared hub motor? If it does not work, do your team plan to make it work on a geared hub motor with no mechanically freewheeling mechanism or simply on a non-geared one. Thanks.

I own three electric bikes. Two are hubmotors made in China and one is crank-drive by Cyclone I imported from Taiwan. I use the crank drive one to climb a hill with average grade of 17% to go to work. The hub motor bike (60 lbs) with nominal power of 250 W simply is not powerful enough to carry me (170 lb) up the hill of about 0.6 miles long.

Although I realise that range is dependent upon the weight of the rider and the terrain covered, there must be an average range for a bike equipped with your kit. I would hope that with the type of battery used and the regenerative braking, that range would be better than other systems. Also, it would be interesting to know how many charges these batteries can take before replacement is required.
